Edgecore Networks, based in Hsinchu, Taiwan, has announced that it will unveil its latest AI server, the AGS8200, at Computex 2024. Supporting eight Intel Gaudi 2 processors and dual 4th Gen Xeon® Scalable Sapphire-Rapids processors, the AGS8200 is designed for demanding AI and ML applications, including training large language models, automation, object classification and recognition use cases.
The Intel Gaudi 2 processor integrates 96GB HBM2E memory and 24 NICs of 100Gbps RoCEv2 RDMA. Its 24 x 100Gbps NICs offer all-to-all connectivity and scale-out internally and externally for training, fine-tuning, and other DL processing. Each Gaudi 2 processor also has 21 x 100Gbps non-blocking, all-to-all connectivity to other Gaudi® 2 processors within the server, allowing training across all eight Intel® Gaudi® 2 processors without requiring an external Ethernet switch.
Each AGS8200 AI Server also features 6 QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable Double Density) ports for scale-out. These 400Gbps ports can be connected to 400Gbps switches, or 100Gbps switches via breakout cables, in racks and clusters of Intel® Gaudi® 2-based nodes.
In addition to the AGS8200 AI Server, Edgecore will also show the AIS800 series of 800G AI data center networking switches at Computex 2024. The switch ports are equipped with Tomahawk 5 and feature 64 ports of 800GbE for switching and routing.
Edgecore will be exhibiting at Hall 1, 1F, Stand K0715a at Computex 2024, which takes place at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, from Tuesday, June 4, to Friday, June 7. For more information, please click here.
